Pride Month 2022

Pride Month 2022

Supporting diversity

Pride Month takes place annually in June during which the LGBTQI+ community celebrates in different ways. LGBTQ stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer.
Pride Month first took place in 1969. On an evening in June, police raided a New York bar frequented mostly by gay, lesbian and transgender people. It led to the so-called Stonewall Riots, a series of violent and spontaneous demonstrations. These were the first demonstrations in which gay and transgender people fought for their rights.
As such, they represent an important turning point in the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement. To this day, events and campaigns around the world during the month of June highlight the rights of people of various sexual orientations.

Kérastase and Redken are taking this opportunity to help the LGBTQI+ community by donating part of the proceeds from the sale of their Pride Edition limited-edition products. With the Elixir Ultime L'Huile Originale Pride Edition, Kérastase will donate € 4 to the Jugendnetzwerk Lambda e.V. Redken is contributing € 15, 000 to the It gets better project, a non-profit organisation that supports LGBTQIA+, with their sale of their limited-edition One United Pride Edition.
