January 2010 - The Sentinel

CUT ABOVE: Shaving expert Mark Sproston visited a grooming lounge to train people for a charity challenge.

The Stafford entrepreneur visited newly-opened Label Professional Male Grooming Lounge in Hanley to teach two men the art of wet shaving.

Mr Sproston, right, has trained people all over the world how to carry out a traditional shave.

John Wilton-Davies and Justin Miles, left, from Exeter are raising funds for the British Heart Foundation in November by setting off on an expedition to reach the South Pole and return unsupported.

Shaun Robson, manager of Label in Town Road, said the fund-raisers approached Mr Sproston, who lives in Stafford, to teach them the art of wet shaving so they could do it en route.

Mr Robson, who uses Mr Sproston's products at his business, offered his premises as a training base.

He said: "It felt it an honour to be able to support."

Justin is pictured trying out his skills on nervous customer Robert Wheeler.
